"Location, location, location:" the importance of this real-estate mantra is something that the Museum of Contemporary Art, Cleveland (MOCA) knows all too well. For over 10 years, the museum has been planning to build a permanent home for its artwork, which will enable it to move out of its leased headquarters on Carnegie Avenue currently shared with the Cleveland Playhouse.

In the same song from which I pulled this column's name, Stephen Malkmus sings, "You can never quarantine the past." This holds true for all the *NSYNC and Britney Spears you used to listen to and might currently pretend don't exist. I learned that such notions were follies, and to explain how I got there, it may be best to explain the awkward things I grew up listening to.

They say that college is the best four years of a person's life, but when exactly does that start? With the jam-packed weekend of welcome, Monday seemed like the only day to really take the idea of college in.

One thing that I absolutely love about summer time, in addition to going to the beach and riding extremely fast roller coasters, is the sheer amount of new albums released and concerts performed at this time of year. Just as every other year, there are new albums that are good, bad, and just plain ugly.

American cinema is dead. Am I qualified to make this statement? Probably not.
Summer is often known for its great crowd-pleasers. What did we have this summer? "Toy Story 3." Should the third installment in a Disney franchise have been the best film of the summer? Probably not.

It's not surprising to hear about people collecting stamps, coins or even crazy-eyed little dolls from foreign countries, but long time Eastern professor Gene Kleppinger has a collection all his own.
He likes ties.
Kleppinger, who helms over Blackboard as well as being a part-time philosophy professor, started wearing ties regularly back in 2000 when his office sat comfortably in the Keene Johnson building.

Many Eastern students are continually on the look out for new music, listening for hip new artists and blazing beats they can stream through their headphones. We keep our music at our fingertips, iPods are our musical arsenal - we're constantly in search of the 'next big thing.

You may remember the band HANSON by its 1997 pop hit "MMMBop," but brothers Zac, Taylor and Isaac have more to offer than just a bubble gum pop song. All three members play instruments and offer vocals on each track, which has led to the group's success of more than 15 million records sold throughout its career, Grammy nominations and the release of a fifth record, Shout it Out.

Whether it was the travel, the expression of grief, or a mix of both, there was something about Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat Pray Love that absolutely sucked me in. This book not only brings the reader to tears through a traumatic divorce but also brings the reader to peace by the pursuit of balance.
